The Last Ship is a multi-fandom fiction archive begun in October 2007 by a group of Lord of the Rings fanfic writers who, over the years, have branched out into writing within other fandoms and have always wanted to be able to archive their stories all at one site. That means that, while The Last Ship will primarily contain Lord of the Rings fanfiction (both fictional person and real person), you will find other fandoms represented. The site's admins plan to keep growing the archive and adding fandoms where requested.
The Last Ship Wiki is the help site where you'll find such things as tutorials on how to perform tasks for Authors and for Readers, detailed news about the site, issues and resolutions, plans for new features, and links to other resources for fans.
We want to take advantage of the wiki philosophy and technology of openness and hope you will contribute to the wiki. You can contribute at any time, either by registering for an account so that your contributions are signed or by contributing anonymously. In the interests of open communication, we want you to know that we do track anonymous entries by IP address.

Q: Why can't I upload a story in the Lord of the Rings Category? I get a message saying the category is locked.
A: You need to select a subcategory, FP or RP, from the same menu where you selected LotR. More information on the Help for Authors page.
